Split payment terms

Klarna and Clearpay let you spread the cost of eligible work into interest-free instalments. These notes explain how that works with Garage Doors Fixed (GDF).

1. Who provides the finance

Klarna and Clearpay are separate companies. They offer the split-payment plans — Garage Doors Fixed does not. We are not a lender and we do not issue credit. If you choose to pay in instalments, the agreement is between you and Klarna or Clearpay, not with us.

2. Credit checks and approval

Klarna or Clearpay decide whether you can use their service. They run their own eligibility and credit checks. We do not carry out those checks, we cannot change their decision, and we are not shown the details of what they look at. If they decline the application, you will need to settle the invoice another way (for example card, bank transfer or cash, as offered at the time).

3. Eligibility

In most cases you need to be 18 or over, live in the UK, and pay with a valid debit or credit card. Each provider sets its own rules, and those rules can change. Meeting the basics does not guarantee approval.

4. Payment schedules

How many payments you make, how much each one is, and when they leave your account is set by Klarna or Clearpay. You will see the schedule before you confirm. Any example on our site (such as a £120 job shown as three payments of £40) is only an illustration. Your own plan is the one the provider shows you at checkout.

5. Interest and late fees

If you keep to the dates they give you, the plan is interest-free. Missed or late payments may attract fees under their terms, can limit your use of the service later, and may be reported in line with their policies. Only take a plan you can comfortably afford.

6. Questions and complaints about finance

Anything about the payment plan itself — a credit decision, fees, or how a refund is processed through Klarna or Clearpay — should go to that provider. Their full terms are on their sites: Klarna UK terms and Clearpay UK terms. For questions about the garage door work itself, contact GDF.

7. Availability
